Position Description:
The primary role of this position is to make each guest visit to the Mountain View Event Center (MEC) positive
and appealing. This position will be required to work closely with clients who will be use the MEC for practice
and events. This position will also perform general cleaning and event set up/take down duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet guests with a smile and professional friendly attitude
• Communicate and work effectively with practice and event clients
• Help maintain the facility. This includes restroom cleaning, garbage removal, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping,
and other cleaning items related to the facility
• Monitor tenants and make sure they are utilizing the facility in ways that coincide with policies, procedures, and
code of conduct of the MEC
• Aid in set up of the facility for practices, tournaments, and events
• Be able to responsibly follow closing procedures and safely close the facility
• Monitor and police policies and procedures provided by the management team
Qualifications/Requirements
• This is a part time position, up to 29 hours per week that will start at $ 10.00 per hour
o Hours will typically be 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 6-10 hour shifts on weekends.
o Hours will vary during times of year and will be dependent on event schedule
• Excellent customer service skills; enjoy working with public and working in a team environment
• Strong communication skills with clients and staff
• Physically able to lift 50 to 75 pounds regularly
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in athletics and an understanding of tournaments, practices, and games
We are looking for some front desk help. Typical hours are 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Monday - Thursday. Some 7 a.m. start times and Fridays will be needed.
Main duties are checking in customers, collecting payment, and setting facility up for the activity scheduled. Pay starts at $10.00/hour.
