March 15, 2020 (10:30 a.m.)
Mountain View Event Center (The MEC) is working hard to observe recommended best practices regarding coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety and health of our guests are very important to us.
We have cancelled Idaho State Xcel Gymnastics, scheduled for March 20th – 22nd and Intermountain Volleyball Association Tournament on March 27th – 28th. We will continue to evaluate and cancel events on a case by case basis.
We are canceling our open gym pickleball schedule and our weekday practice schedules until March 29th. We will continue to monitor the situation and determine if we are able to reopen after March 29th.
The MEC is staying in close contact with healthcare providers, state coronavirus response teams, and health agencies in the event that any cases are reported in our community.
During our time off, we will be deep cleaning and disinfecting the MEC. Our cleaning company, Nucleane, will be using an electrostatic sprayer to spray disinfectant on all touchpoints, restrooms, bleachers, etc.
We appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to work through this situation. We will provide updates as needed and as information changes.
